Welcome to the Presbyterian Social Services (PSS) site. PSS is a department of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in NSW (PCNSW). Our main focus is all about being in touch with people from all walks of life and meeting them at their point of need.
Our Purpose - "Work with and for PCNSW to demonstrate the character of God by providing fresh hope and care for those who are in need, in a way that seeks justice, shows mercy and makes Jesus known."
Our Vision - "To provide high quality and distinctively Christian care to all those in the community who are most vulnerable and who would otherwise be isolated from support."
Our Priorities for 2013 -
  • Build a collaborative team where individual strengths are utilised and opportunities for development are supported,
  • Focus each programme on being distinctively Christian and begin, or continue, to reach the most vulnerable in the community, and

Presbyterian Social Services is made up of several individual ministries including chaplaincy, counselling, the Conduct Protocol Unit, children's work, student residences, a children's hospital and recycling and retail outlets.
